Interview with Daisho (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Hello, I’m Udomsak Jianbanjong, General Manager of Daisho Thailand

BRID: Could you introduce yourself and your work experience?

Khun Udomsak: Hello, I’m Udomsak Jianbanjong, General Manager of Daisho Thailand. I have more than 25 years of work experience in the food business.

BRID: How has the company’s growth been in the past period?

Khun Udomsak: Daisho Thailand is a Thai–Japanese joint-venture company. Our main business is importing food and distributing products in Thailand. Our main markets in Thailand include Japanese restaurants, food factories, as well as modern trade, supermarkets, and the export market overseas.

“In the past we were one of the first companies to foresee the growth of the Japanese food business in our country, and to this day we are still a leader in supplying Japanese raw materials and food in Thailand.”

Our company grew continuously even during economic crises such as the COVID period — we could still retain our existing customer base and add a new customer base from the e-commerce business.

BRID: What was the reason for starting to seek an ERP system?

Khun Udomsak: Our company’s continuous sales growth in the past gave us more employees, as well as more transactions, and more varied customer needs, which made the system we were using unable to support our growth, both present and future.

This made us look at new solutions, which settled on the PlanetOne ERP system, both in terms of price and the readiness of the BRID team to provide service.

BRID: What was the starting point in choosing the PlanetOne ERP system?

Khun Udomsak: In the past we once developed an ERP with another company, a joint development.

But because our company’s expectations and the developing team didn’t align, we couldn’t develop it further, until a consultant recommended PlanetOne ERP. After trying talking with them, we found we could communicate and implement together.

BRID: Which modules do you use in the PlanetOne ERP system?

Khun Udomsak: Currently we use 6 modules in total, starting from procurement, sales, Inventory Control, and as for accounting it covers from AP, AR, to GL.

The various functions on these modules can cover and meet the varied work of our food business.

“The system can meet multi-department work well, and the system itself is quite user friendly.”

As for Reports, the system can generate various reports quite well, and these various reports are Management Information that’s useful for decision-making and planning the business in the future.

BRID: How did PlanetOne ERP’s after-sales service impress you?

Khun Udomsak: From a service user’s standpoint, After-sales service is very important. The PlanetOne ERP team is attentive in helping answer questions and provide service, including answering questions via the LINE group and through the JTrac system.

BRID: Could you give a slogan for the PlanetOne ERP team?

Khun Udomsak: The PlanetOne ERP team provides good, fast, prompt service, including solving problems on point, and doesn’t take advantage of service users.

BRID: Could you give advice for those who will install an ERP system too?

Khun Udomsak: In choosing an ERP system, besides an appropriate price and functions that meet our use, the credibility of the system itself and the credibility of the provider are equally important.

“I’m confident that the PlanetOne ERP system is a good system that can be developed.”

The system’s implementation is equally important. PlanetOne ERP’s help made the transition from the old system into the PlanetOne ERP system go smoothly.
